Our hospital is committed to providing the highest quality care and ensuring the safety of our patients, employees, providers, volunteers and visitors. We are continuing to monitor the evolving situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) and are taking the necessary steps to ensure we are fully prepared to care for patients, in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and in partnership with our local and state health departments.

Raleigh General Hospital Reimplements Zero Visitor Protocol

For the safety of its patients, staff and providers, Raleigh General Hospital has re-implementing certain visitor restrictions in response to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in the community.

Zero Visitor Restrictions and Guidelines

Effective July 22, 2020, visitors are not allowed within Raleigh General Hospital unless they meet the following exceptions:   

• OB patients (1 adult visitor), Pediatrics (1 parent or guardian) and patients at end-of-life.

• If a patient is physically unable to get to an appointment and requires assisatnce someone may help them.  

Limited Access Points

• Main Lobby (‪6:00 am to 8:00 pm) and Emergency Department entrance (‪24/7).

Raleigh Medical Complex

  • All patients coming to the Raleigh Medical Complex (RMC) or any of our clinics will be screened upon entering.
  • If a patient is physically unable to get to an appointment and requires assisatnce someone may help them.
  • If you do not feel well, have a temperature or are under investigation for COVID-19, we ask that you reschedule your appointment.

Screening Guidelines

Raleigh General Hospital continues to screen all individuals who enter its facilities for symptoms consistent with COVID-19. Individuals who do not pass the evaluation criteria will be denied entry.

Masks are required to enter any of our facilities, if you do not have one, one will be provided to you.
